     William Potter was born on 12 November 1689 in Dartmouth, Bristol, Massachusetts.1 He was the son of Nathaniel Potter and Joanna Wilbore.
     William Potter died in August 1777 in in Richmond, Providence, Rhode Island, at the age of 87.1

     On 10 October 1801, Abigail Powell married Nathan Wilbur, son of Thomas Wilbur Jr. and Elizabeth Griffin, in.2
     Abigail Wilbur died before 25 October 1838 in Clinton, Dutchess, New York.2

     Nancy married Alexander Sumpter on 10 April 1834 in Washington, Missouri.1,2
     Nancy R. Sumpter and Alexander Sumpter appeared on the 1850 Federal Census in Harmony, Washington County, Missouri, enumerated 7 December 1850, reporting Alexander as a Farmer. Their children Elizabeth, Sarah Jane, Nancy, Drucilla, Lucinda, Susannah and Mary Lavina were listed as living with them.3
