     Orville Reinmiller was born in 1894, Nebraska. He was the son of Henry Reinmiller and Laura Isabelle Riggs.

     Johann "John" Reinwald was born on 8 December 1855 in Pfordt, Lauterbach, Hessen, Germany at 10 PM.3,4,5,6,7,8 He was the son of Conrad Reinwald and Anna Elisabeth Kircher.2 Johann was baptized on 23 December 1855 in Pfordt, Kreis Lauterbach, Hessen, Germany , and his godfather was Johann Caspar Döring.8
     Johann "John" Reinwald immigrated to Canada with his parents, Conrad and Anna Elisabeth Reinwald, aboard the ship George arriving on 6 August 1856, from Germany. The family arrived in the Port of New York and then traveled to Canada where they settled.See Research Note for Immigration for further discussion..2,9
     Johann "John" Reinwald appeared on the 1861 Canadian Census of North Easthope, Perth, Ontario, Canada in the household of his parents, Conrad Reinwald and Anna Elisabeth Reinwald.2
     Johann "John" Reinwald appeared on the 1871 Canadian Census of North Easthope, Perth, Ontario, Canada in the household of his parents, Conrad Reinwald and Anna Elizabeth Reinwald, his father and step mother.10
     On 23 July 1878, Johann "John" Reinwald married Katharine "Katie" Lanz, daughter of Johannes "John" Lanz and Catherina Schick, in St James' Evangelical Lutheran Church, Wellesley, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. They were married by Rev. John Strempfer. The ceremony was witnessed by Margaretha "Maggie" Reinwald and John E Lanz Sr.11,12,13,5
     Johann "John" Reinwald appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Plymouth, Jefferson, Nebraska, in the household of Johannes "John" Lanz and Catherina Lanz, his wife's parents and his daughter, Emillie Anne "Millie" Reinwald.14
     Johann "John" Reinwald and Katharine Reinwald appeared on the 1885 State Census of the Village of Dewitt, Saline, Nebraska, enumerated 3 June 1885. Their children Henry William, John Conrad, Emillie Anne, George Henry and Anna Margaret were listed as living with them.15
     Justus Daub's letter of administration was filed on on 5 February 1886 in Dewitt Village, Saline, Nebraska, naming Johann "John" Reinwald as administrator of the will.16
     Johann "John" Reinwald and Katharine Reinwald appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Swanton, Saline, Nebraska, enumerated 1 June 1900. Their children Henry William, George Henry, Anna Margaret, Anna Elizabeth, Marie Catharine, Edith Anna and Ella Anna Catharina were listed as living with them, as was their grandchild, an unknown person , an unknown person mother Emille died 24 April 1900. Their son, John Conrad Reinwald, at the time of the census, is living in Stoney Hill District of Saskatchewan.17

According to the Census Johann "John" Reinwald was a Carpenter on 1 June 1900 in Swanton, Jefferson, Nebraska.17

     Johann and Katharine Reinwald immigrated to Rosthern, Saskatchewan, Canada, with his family Anna Elizabeth Reinwald, Edith Anna Reinwald, Marie Catharine "Mary" Reinwald and Edward Henry Reinwald arriving on 1903.18
     On the 1906 Canadian Census , Johann "John" Reinwald was listed as the head of the family and Katharine, was listed as his wife living at Sec 26, Twsp 43, Rge 5, 3W Meridian in Rosthern, Saskatchewan, Canada. Also included in the household: Anna Elizabeth Reinwald, Marie Catharine "Mary" Reinwald, Edith Anna Reinwald and Edward Henry Reinwald.18
     John Conrad Reinwald's letter of administration was filed on on 18 September 1908 in Rosthern, Saskatchewan, naming Johann "John" Reinwald as administrator of the will.19 He witnessed the Homestead of John E Lanz Sr on 8 April 1909 in NW ¼ Sec 32 Twp 43 R 5W 3rd PM, Rosthern, Saskatchewan, Canada.20
     On the 1911 Canadian Census of Laird, Saskatchewan, Canada, Johann was listed as the head of the family and Katharine, his wife. Also included in the household: Marie Catharine "Mary" Reinwald, Edith Anna Reinwald and Edward Henry Reinwald.1 In 1912, Johann "John" Reinwald was living on the homestead in NW 1/4, Sec 26, Township 43, Range 5W, Meredian 3, Laird, Saskatchewan, Canada.21 In 1912, Johann "John" Reinwald was living on the homestead in SE 1/4, Section 32, Township 43, Rage 6W, Meredian 3, Laird, Saskatchewan, Canada.22 Johann was a Farmer in 1930 in Laird, Saskatchewan.5
     Johann "John" Reinwald died on 26 September 1930 in Laird, Saskatchewan, at the age of 74.5,3,7
     Johann was buried on Sunday, 28 September 1930 in the Stony Hill Cemetery, located in Laird, Saskatchewan , Canada.5,7 He was reported as the father on the Social Security Application of George Henry Reinwald.23 Johann "John" Reinwald was reported as the father on the Social Security Application of Henry William Reinwald.24

There is a supposition that this is the correct entry, however, the list shows that Johann dies during the voyage. There is a single women traveling alone listed on the next line. Was the entry listing the death put on the wrong line? The Passenger lists the family in Steerage coming from Germany to U.S. The following information is listed:
1. Konrad Reinwald Male farmer age 25.
2. Elisabeth Reinwald Female age 27.
3. Johann Reinwald Male age 6 months.
Other than the death of Johann everything else fits.
(Immigrations date 19 Dec 1855-30 Nov 1857 is based strictly on the birth places of his children and the first Census that Conrad appears on.)9

     Luetta Edith "Lue" Reinwald was born on 19 October 1915, weighing 5 pounds and 1 ounce., in Laird, Saskatchewan, Canada.2,3,1,4 She was the daughter of Henry William Reinwald and Elizabeth Verna "Bessie" Wilbur.2
     Luetta Edith "Lue" Reinwald was baptized on 19 December 1915 in the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Stony Hill, in Laird, Saskatchewan, Canada, daughter of Henry William Reinwald and Elizabeth Verna "Bessie" Wilbur.5
     On the 1916 Canadian Census, Luetta was listed as a daughter in the household of Henry William Reinwald and Elizabeth in Laird, Saskatchewan. Also listed in the household were her brothers Allan and Earle.6
     Between 1922 and 1924, Luetta, Lloyd and Earle migrated to Corona, Riverside, California, from Laird, Saskatchewan, Canada with her parents Henry William Reinwald and Elizabeth Verna "Bessie" Reinwald.


As told by Lloyd Reinwald:
     In 1924, Henry Reinwald, sold the farm in Laird, Saskatchewan at an auction, went to Winnipeg Manitoba and bought a brand new 1923 Model “T” Touring Ford. He packed up his wife, his 3 children and all their belongings and headed for Riverside, California. The car that Henry had purchased was no more than a glorified covered wagon. After living in the flatlands of Nebraska and Saskatchewan, they were impressed with the Rocky Mountains. Lloyd, remembers his mother, Bessie, being petrified of the trip through the Mountains due to the steep cliffs along side the road. She was certain that they would not make thru the mountains safely. With no hotels along the way Henry stopped and asked at farmhouses if his family could sleep in the hay fields so that they could use the hay for bedding. Lloyd Reinwald remembers his father talking about all the compassionate people they met along the way. Finding water was a big deal; sometimes they went for miles before finding water. Once water was found they would fill everything they owned for they did not know when the next time would be. At the time of this trip Lue suffer with carbuncles on her bottom. It was very painful and she cried most of the trip. Henry lanced the boils every night with a straight razor to help reduce the pain.
     They came down to Regina, Saskatchewan into the United States where they proceed through the Rocky Mountains and arrived in Spokane, Washington sometime in April. They then proceeded down the Gorge to Portland and onto Salem. (There were no Reinwald’s in Salem yet.) They drove down the old Highway 99 to California, stopping to spend the night in Albany, Eugene, Medford, Klamath Falls, Ashland, Chico, and Los Angeles.7

     Luetta Edith "Lue" Reinwald was confirmed on 6 September 1929 in St. Mark's Luthern Church, Salem, Marion, Oregon.7
     Luetta Edith "Lue" Reinwald appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Salem, Marion, Oregon in the household of her parents, Henry William Reinwald and Elizabeth Verna "Bessie" Wilbur.8,9 Luetta Edith "Lue" Reinwald graduated 1 June 1934 from Salem High School in Salem, Marion, Oregon.10
     On 18 December 1935, Luetta Edith "Lue" Reinwald married John Wesley "Johnny" Warner Jr., son of John Wesley Warner Sr., in Vancouver, Clark County, Washington, Witness by: C N Taylor & O. M. Burns..11,2
     On 21 July 1936,John and Luetta lived in at 1349 Waller Street, in Salem, Marion, Oregon. Also living in the household is Patricia Lou "Pat" Warner.3
     On her application for Social Security on 29 April 1937, Luetta listed her address Spokane, Spokane, Washington. The application stated that her employer was 536-07-5995. She reported her father's name as Henry William Reinwald and her mother's name as Elizabeth Verna "Bessie" Wilbur. . According to the application she was working for West Coast Shows.12,4
     On 22 February 1939,John and Luetta lived in 5923 S. E. Harold, Portland, Multnomah, Oregon.13 Luetta Edith "Lue" Reinwald and John were divorced on 2 September 1941 in Salem, Marion, Oregon.2,14
     In the 19 October 1945 obituary of Elizabeth Verna "Bessie" Wilbur which printed in the The Oregon Statesman, circulated in Salem, Marion County, Oregon, Luetta Edith "Lue" Watson was listes as survivor.15
     Luetta Edith "Lue" Watson died on 11 May 1985 in in Salem, Polk, Oregon, at the age of 69.12
     Luetta Edith "Lue" Watson's obituary was printed in the The Statesman Journal, circulated in Salem, Marion County, Oregon, on 14 May 1985. She was survived by Earle Stanley Reinwald, Lloyd Henry Reinwald and Ruth Elizabeth Forman.16
Luetta's obituary states:

Graveside services will be at 11p.m. Wednesday in Belcrest Memorial Park for Luetta Watson, 69, of Salem, who died Saturday.The casket will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to noon, Wednesday at the Howell-Edwards-Doerksen mortuary. Surviving are her husband, Atlee; daughter, Patricia Beard, Turner; brothers, Earle Reinwald, Seattle, and Lloyd Reinwald, Salem; sister Ruth Forman, Salem.16


     Luetta was buried on Wednesday, 15 May 1985 in the Belcrest Memorial Park, located in Salem, Marion County, Oregon . Buried next to her is her granddaughter, Gerri Lou Gregerson nee Beard.12
