Their children George William, Marilda Frances, Emily Jane, Elizabeth Ann and David M were listed as living with them, living near the family is John's parents, Henry and Sarah Dugger.²

     In the 6 March 1936 obituary of Herbert Charles Beard Jr. which printed in the Statesman Journal, circulated in Salem, Marion County, Oregon, Mel Beard, Bob Beard and William Victor "Bill" Beard were listed as a survivor.⁵
