Catherina Schick was born on 27 September 1836, Ontario,Canada Katherine SCHICK was born to Huguenot Parents according to Walter Lanz. Katherine Reinwald's death certificate lists mother's name as Maria Schick.1,2,3,4 She was the daughter of John Schick and Catherine Wolf.
Marriage banns for Catherina Schick and Johannes "John" Lanz were published between January 1855 and July 1855 in Waterloo County, Ontario, Canada.5
Between January 1855 and July 1855, Catherina Schick married Johannes "John" Lanz in Berlin, Waterloo County, Ontario. The marriage date is based on the birth of their daughter Katherine in April 1856 and the marriage bann. I have not yet determined if Catherine' parents are indeed John and Catherine Schick.5,6,7,8

Between August 1878 and September 1879, Johannes and Catherina left North Easthope, Perth County, Ontario, Canada and migrated to Plymouth, Jefferson, Nebraska. The dates are based on the marriage of their daughter Katherine to John Reinwald and Johnannes' appointment as the Church secretary of St Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Plymouth.10

Missing from the census is their son John Conrad Reinwald age 4. Did the Enumerator just forget to write him down?11

Catherina was buried after 15 July 1897 St Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, in Plymouth, Jefferson, Nebraska.12 She was listed as previously deceased in the 30 November 1901 obituary of Johannes "John" Lanz which printed in the The Plymouth News, circulated in Plymouth, Jefferson County, Nebraska.13
