Euphemia Hayes died on 28 March 1958 in 11636 N. Highway 9, Cupertino, Santa Clara, California, at the age of 94.2
Euphemia Hayes's obituary was printed in the San Jose Mercury News, circulated in San Jose, Santa Clara County, California, on 30 March 1958. Lloyd Hardy Hayes being mentioned in Euphemia's obituary.9
Euphemia's obituary states:
Mrs. Euphemia Hayes, 94, mother of the late L. Hardy Hayes, former principal of Lincoln Glen School, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Flora H. Snider, Friday.
Her son was a teacher at Willow Glen School from 1927 to 1935 when he became principal of Lincoln Glen School, which position he held until his death in 1944. He was an active Mason and civil leader.
Mrs. Hayes was a native of Ontario, Can., and had resided in this area 35 years. Most of that time, her home was on Carroll street in Sunnyvale. She would have been 95 April 11.
In addition to Mrs. Snider, of 11636 N. Sunnyvale-Saratoga Rd. she leaves a grandson and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of Sunnyvale Congregational Church and Sunnyvale Chapter 250, OES.
Funeral rites will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. from the Howard H. Wyant Funeral Home, Sunnyvale. Interment will follow in Alta Mesa Cemetery.9
