     John C Stewart appeared on the1881 Canadian Census of Tiverton, Bruce, Ontario, Canada in the household of his mother Flora Stewart.1
     John married Sarah G (Unknown) circa 1885.2
     John C Stewart and Sarah G Stewart appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of St Andrews Township, Walsh, North Dakota, enumerated 6 June 1900, reporting John as a farmer who immigrated in 1880 and had been naturalized., as well as Flora Stewart, his mother and Malcom Stewart, his brother.2
     John C Stewart and Sarah G Stewart appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of St Andrews Township, Walsh, North Dakota, enumerated 13 May 1910, reporting John as a farmer, as well as Flora Stewart, his mother.6
     John was buried in 1948 in the Drayton City Cemetery, located in Drayton, Pembina County, North Dakota . Mason is inscribed on the tombstone.7

     In October 1901, Lillie Stewart married Joseph C. Morrison in.4
