     Roy Elmer "Pop" Bishop was born on 3 November 1887 in Scio, Linn, Oregon.4,2,5 He was the son of Erastus Ashbury Bishop and Margaret J Compton.2,3
     Roy Elmer "Pop" Bishop appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Wallowa, Wallowa, Oregon in the household of his parents, Erastus Ashbury Bishop and Margaret J Bishop.6
     On 15 September 1907, Roy Elmer "Pop" Bishop married Myrtle A. Carpenter, daughter of Alfred J. Carpenter and Martha A Packer, at M. E. Church in Enterprise, Wallowa County, Oregon, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. They were married by the Rev. Batchelder. They were attended by Roy's brother, J. Arthur Bishop and his wife.7,3,1,8,2,9,10,11
     Roy Elmer "Pop" Bishop and Myrtle A. Bishop appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Powwatka, Wallowa, Oregon, enumerated 12 May 1910, reporting Roy's name as Elmer R.. Their daughter Muriel Gladys was listed as living with them.9

On 5 June 1917, Roy Elmer "Pop" Bishop was listed on the 1917 - 1918 draft list residing in Prescott, Columbia, Oregon. The Draft list reported Roy working for the Beaver Lumber Company as a Planerman, married with a wife and 2 children. Roy was described as a Tall man of medium build with brown eyes and brown hair.12
     Roy Elmer "Pop" Bishop and Myrtle A. Bishop appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of St. Helens, Columbia, Oregon, at Willamette Street, enumerated 7 January 1920, reporting Roy working as a planer in a lumber mill and renting their home.. Their children Muriel Gladys and Lenore V. were listed as living with them.10 Roy Elmer "Pop" Bishop witnessed the marriage of Clarence "Klas Hjalmar" Dahlstrom and Muriel Gladys Bishop on 8 June 1929 in Portland, Multnomah, Oregon; Clarence was living at 267 North 21st (Portland Oregon) and Muriel was living at 908 South Jersey (Portland Oregon.)13,14,1,15
     Roy Elmer "Pop" Bishop and Myrtle A. Bishop appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Portland, Multnomah, Oregon, at 99 East Prescott Street, enumerated 10 April 1930, reporting Roy doing mill work in a lumber mill and renting a home for $28.00. Their children Lenore V., Anna R. and William O. were listed as living with them.11
     Roy Elmer "Pop" Bishop and Myrtle A. Bishop appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Spruce Precinct, Lincoln, Oregon, at State Hwy 26, enumerated 10 April 1940. Their children Anna R. and William O. were listed as living with them.16
On 27 April 1942, Roy Elmer "Pop" Bishop was listed on the U.S. World War II Army Enlistment Records, 1938-1946 Route 1, Toledo, Lincoln, Oregon. The list reported Roy married to Myrtle A. Bishop and working for C. D. Johnson Lumber Company. Roy is described as 6'1" weighing 196 lbs with Hazel eyes and Brown hair.4
     On 27 April 1942,Roy and Myrtle lived Route 1, Toledo, Lincoln, Oregon based on the registration for WWII Military Service.4
     Upon Myrtle's death on 27 December 1965, Roy became a widower living residing at 1566 3rd St. N. W., in Salem, Polk County, Oregon.8
     On 11 January 1981, Roy Elmer "Pop" Bishop died at the age of 93. At the time of his death he was living at 6404 S. E 23rd, in Portland, Multnomah, Oregon. The information on the death certificate was being supplied by Lenore V. Bishop, his daughter.2
     Roy Elmer "Pop" Bishop's obituary was printed in the Oregonian, circulated in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon, on 14 January 1981. He was survived by Lenore V. Bishop, Muriel Gladys Dahlstrom, Anna R. Bishop and Florence Bishop.17
     Roy Elmer "Pop" Bishop was interred on 14 December 1981 in the Belcrest Memorial Park, located in Salem, Marion County, Oregon , next to his wife, Muriel Bishop.2

     Alonzo Bishop was probably included as a white male, age under 9, in Joshua Bishop's household on the 1820 Census enumerated in Canaan, Columbia, New York.1 Alonzo Bishop was born in 1820, New York.2,3 He was the son of Joshua Bishop and Mary Wilbur.
     Alonzo Bishop, was probably included as a white male, age ten to fourteen years old, in Joshua Bishop's household on the 1830 Census enumerated in in Lyons, Wayne County, New York.4
     Alonzo Bishop, was probably included as a white male, age fifteen to nineteen years old, in Joshua Bishop's household on the 1840 Census enumerated in Savannah, Wayne, New York; also enumerated in the household is 1 male age 20 - 29 years. Missing from the census is Harlo born in 1830.5
     Alonzo Bishop appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Savannah, Wayne, New York in the household of his parents, Joshua Bishop and Mary Bishop.2

Their son Eugene was listed as living with them, as well as Sarah Lewis age 68 born in New York with her occupation of housework. Is this Sarah's mother?7 According to the census, Alonzo's occupation was carpenter.7
     In 1867,Joshua and Alonzo lived in Savannah, Wayne, New York.8
      Alonzo Bishop appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Savannah, Wayne, New York, in the household of his father Joshua Bishop, with his wife, Sarah L. Bishop and their children, Clara Jennie Bishop, Eugene Bishop and Adella Bishop.6
     Alonzo Bishop and Sarah L. Bishop appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Savannah, Wayne, New York, enumerated 2 June 1880 Their children Clara Jennie were listed as living with them.9
     Alonzo Bishop and Sarah L. Bishop appeared on the 1892 State Census of Savannah, Wayne, New York, enumerated 16 February 1892, reporting Alonzo as a carpenter.10
     Alonzo Bishop died in 1892.3
     Alonzo was buried in 1892 in the Maple Grove Cemetery, located in Galen, Wayne County, New York .3
