Homer "Alonzo" Watson was born on 1 December 1850 in Ohio, son of Samuel Patterson Watson and Margaret Ann Ward.3,4,5 Homer "Alonzo" Watson was the son of Samuel Patterson Watson and Margaret Ann Ward.2
Homer "Alonzo" Watson appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Oregon City, Holt, Missouri, in the household of Samuel Patterson Watson and Margaret Ann Watson, The census does not report Homer but there is an Allen W. who is the same age as Homer so I am assuming that he is Homer. This maybe the wrong assumption, but family ledgend states that Homer's Father is Samuel P. Watson.2
Homer "Alonzo" Watson appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Benton, Holt, Missouri, in the household of his father Samuel Patterson Watson, and step-mother Nancy Seibert; reporting Samuel as a farmer with $1,500 in real estate and $500 in personal property.5
On 8 February 1872, Homer "Alonzo" Watson married Jennie "Jane" Frazier, daughter of David Frazier and Rachel Wood, in Holt County County, Missouri, by H. C. Long, JP..6,7,3
Homer "Alonzo" Watson and Jane Watson appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Greenfield, Rooks, Kansas, enumerated 16 June 1880 reporting them living next to Jane's sister, Jemima and Absolom Gibson. Their children Samuel David, May Jeannette and Arthur Bell were listed as living with them.8 According to the census, Homer's occupation was Farmer.8
Homer "Alonzo" Watson and Jane Watson appeared on the 1885 State Census of Fairmont, Leavenworth, Kansas, enumerated 1 March 1885. Their children Samuel David, May Jeannette, Arthur Bell, Anna Bell, Homer Ernest and Hoarce Taylor.9 were listed as living with them, as well as Willie Watson age 9 born in Kansas. (I'm not sure who this is. More research is needed) 7 June 2010
Homer "Alonzo" Watson and Jane Watson appeared on the census of 1 March 1895 in Fairmont, Leavenworth, Kansas, based on the number of people listed the following people could be included in the household: Samuel David Watson, May Jeannette Watson, Arthur Bell Watson, Anna Bell Watson, Homer Ernest Watson, Hoarce Taylor Watson, Mattie Janie Watson and Jess Taylor Watson. This is a supposition due to the fact that the 1895 Census of Wisconsin only lists the total number of males and females. Suan Huston age 74 born in Kentucky coming from Indiana is listed in the household ( Is this a relative?)10
Homer "Alonzo" Watson and Jennie Watson appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Fairmont, Leavenworth, Kansas, enumerated 18 June 1900, reporting Homer as a farmer and Jennie as having 9 children, 8 of whom were still living at the time.. Their children Anna Bell, Hoarce Taylor, Mattie Janie and Jess Taylor were listed as living with them.11
In the obituary of Jane Watson dated 20 February 1902 which printed in the Bonner Springs Chieftain, circulated in Bonner Springs, Wyandotte County, Kansas, Homer "Alonzo" Watson was mentioned as her husband.7
Homer "Alonzo" Watson appeared on the 1905 State Census of Fairmont, Leavenworth, Kansas, enumerated 1 March 1905, Also in the household is Beatrice Mann age 10 born in Kansas. Their children Anna Bell, Hoarce Taylor and Jess Taylor were listed as living with them.12
Circa 1910, Homer "Alonzo" Watson married Fannie (Unknown) in.13

His children Jess Taylor and Anna Bell were listed as living with him.13 Homer was Methodist in Glenwood, Leavenworth, Kansas.3
On 9 April 1926, Homer "Alonzo" Watson was living in Kansas City, Jackson, Missouri, when he died at the age of 75. , Fred S. Watson, 4935 Park, Kansas City, Missouri was the informant on the death certificate.4
Homer was buried on Sunday, 11 April 1926 in the City Cemetery, located in Bonner Springs, Wyandotte County, Kansas .4
Homer's obituary states:

Homer Watson Dead
Homer Watson was born in Ohio, December 1, 1850, and died at the home of his son, S. D. Watson, in Kansas City, April 9, 1926, at the age of 75 years, 6 months and 7 days. Mr. Watson's mother died early in life and his father brought the family of three small boys to Holt County, MO., where Homer grew to manhood. He was married there to Jennie Frazier, in 1872.
To this union nine children were born, two of whom, with the wife and mother, have gone on before. The living children are S. D. Watson of Kansas City, Mrs. Hervey Griffith, Bonner Springs, Horace and Earnest Watson of Lake City, Kansas and Jesse Watson of Carlin Bay, Idaho. Mr Watson made his home with his son, Jess until a year ago, when his health failed and he came back to Bonner Springs to be with his children and friends where he and his family had resided for so many years.
Many years ago he, with his wife, united with the Methodist Church at Glenwood.
Besides his children, he leaves twenty-four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He often times remarked that he could well remember his great grandfather, as well as hiving lived to see tow of his great grandchildren, of whom he was so proud.
Funeral services were here at the A. B. Watson-home here Sunday, The Rev. C. F. Jenkins officiating and interment was in the City cemetery under the direction of the Alden & Harrington Undertaking Company.3
