Samuel David Watson was born on 12 May 1874 in Mound City, Holt, Missouri, his parents were residing at Bigelow.1,2 He was the son of Homer "Alonzo" Watson and Jennie "Jane" Frazier.
Samuel David Watson appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Greenfield, Rooks, Kansas in the household of his parents, Homer "Alonzo" Watson and Jane Watson.1
Samuel David Watson appeared on the 1885 State Census of Fairmont, Leavenworth, Kansas in the household of his parents, Homer "Alonzo" Watson and Jane Watson.3 Samuel David Watson and May Jeannette Watson, Arthur Bell Watson, Anna Bell Watson, Homer Ernest Watson, Hoarce Taylor Watson, Mattie Janie Watson and Jess Taylor Watson could have been included on the 1895 census in Fairmont, Leavenworth, Kansas, in the household of Homer "Alonzo" Watson and Jane Watson. This is a supposition due to the fact that the 1895 Census of Wisconsin only lists the total number of males and females.4 Samuel David Watson was listed as a survivor in the obituary of Homer "Alonzo" Watson, as a living child, on 15 April 1926 and was in the printed in the Bonner Springs Chieftain, circulated in Bonner Springs, Wyandotte County, Kansas.5
Samuel David Watson died on 1 August 1948 in 4935 Park Avenue, Kansas City, Jackson, Missouri, at the age of 74.2,6,7

Samuel Patterson Watson was born on 11 December 1815 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, son of Samuel Patterson Watson and Hetty Jane Scott.1 Samuel Patterson Watson was the son of Samuel Patterson Watson and Hetty Jane Scott. On the census of 1840 in Salt Creek, Holmes, Ohio, Samuel and David were living near.2
On 10 February 1842, Samuel Patterson Watson married Margaret Ann Ward, daughter of Abraham Ward and Anna Taylor, in Berlin, Holmes County, Ohio.3,4 Samuel was Laborer on 18 June 1860 in Oregon City, Holt, Missouri.1
Samuel Patterson Watson and Margaret Ann Watson appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Oregon City, Holt, Missouri, enumerated 18 June 1860. Their children William Scott, Abraham Ward and Samuel Howard were listed as living with them The census does not report Homer but there is an Allen W. who is the same age as Homer so I am assuming that he is Homer. This maybe the wrong assumption, but family ledgend states that Homer's Father is Samuel P. Watson. Margaret is also reported in her parents household. Perhaps she is visiting and the enumerator counted her.1
