     Elizabeth Verna "Bessie" Wilbur was born on 23 July 1886 in Ponca, Dixon, Nebraska.4,5,6,7,8 She was the daughter of Fred Elmer Wilbur and Mary Fleura "Mamie" Conrad.3
     Elizabeth Verna "Bessie" Wilbur appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Highland, Garfield, Nebraska in the household of her parents, Fred Elmer Wilbur and Mary Fleura "Mamie" Wilbur.8 According to Family lore, Elizabeth attended and became a school teacher at Fremont Normal School. in Fremont, Dodge, Nebraska.9
     On 27 June 1907, Elizabeth Verna "Bessie" Wilbur married Henry William Reinwald, son of Johann "John" Reinwald and Katharine "Katie" Lanz, at Stony Hill School House in Laird, Saskatchewan.10,2,11 Elizabeth was a practicing Methodist in Laird, Saskatchewan, Canada.4
     Elizabeth was listed as the wife of Henry William Reinwald in the 1911 Canadian Census of Laird, Saskatchewan. Also included in the household: Allan Wilfred George Reinwald.12
     Elizabeth was listed as the wife of Henry in the 1916 Canadian Census in Laird, Saskatchewan. Also included in the household are their sons, Allan and Earle and daughter, Luetta .13
     Elizabeth Verna "Bessie" Reinwald was baptized on 31 July 1921 in the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Stony Hill, in Laird, Saskatchewan, Canada, by George C. Wiedenhammer, Pastor. Bessie was baptised as an adult., daughter of Fred Elmer Wilbur and Mary Fleura "Mamie" Conrad.7,6
     Henry and Elizabeth left Laird, Saskatchewan, Canada between 1922 and 1924 migrating to Corona, Riverside, California. Accompaning them were Luetta Edith "Lue" Reinwald, Lloyd Henry Reinwald and Earle Stanley Reinwald.


As told by Lloyd Reinwald:
     In 1924, Henry Reinwald, sold the farm in Laird, Saskatchewan at an auction, went to Winnipeg Manitoba and bought a brand new 1923 Model “T” Touring Ford. He packed up his wife, his 3 children and all their belongings and headed for Riverside, California. The car that Henry had purchased was no more than a glorified covered wagon. After living in the flatlands of Nebraska and Saskatchewan, they were impressed with the Rocky Mountains. Lloyd, remembers his mother, Bessie, being petrified of the trip through the Mountains due to the steep cliffs along side the road. She was certain that they would not make thru the mountains safely. With no hotels along the way Henry stopped and asked at farmhouses if his family could sleep in the hay fields so that they could use the hay for bedding. Lloyd Reinwald remembers his father talking about all the compassionate people they met along the way. Finding water was a big deal; sometimes they went for miles before finding water. Once water was found they would fill everything they owned for they did not know when the next time would be. At the time of this trip Lue suffer with carbuncles on her bottom. It was very painful and she cried most of the trip. Henry lanced the boils every night with a straight razor to help reduce the pain.
     They came down to Regina, Saskatchewan into the United States where they proceed through the Rocky Mountains and arrived in Spokane, Washington sometime in April. They then proceeded down the Gorge to Portland and onto Salem. (There were no Reinwald’s in Salem yet.) They drove down the old Highway 99 to California, stopping to spend the night in Albany, Eugene, Medford, Klamath Falls, Ashland, Chico, and Los Angeles.14

     Henry William Reinwald and Elizabeth Verna "Bessie" Wilbur appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Salem, Marion, Oregon, at 1760 Norway, enumerated 17 April 1930. Their children Earle Stanley, Luetta Edith, Lloyd Henry and Ruth Elizabeth were listed as living with them.15,16 (an unknown value.)9
     In the 7 May 1936 obituary of Mary Fleura "Mamie" Conrad which printed in the Nebraska Journal Leader, circulated in Ponca, Dixon County, Nebraska, Elizabeth Verna "Bessie" Wilbur was listes as survivor.17 She was reported as the mother on the Social Security Application of Luetta Edith "Lue" Warner.18,19
     Elizabeth Verna "Bessie" Reinwald was mentioned in the will of her father, Fred Elmer Wilbur filed on 28 September 1938 in in Ponca, Dixon County, Nebraska. The will also mentions: Lulu "Maude" Brewer, Claudia Ann Christian, Florence Rose Johnson, Winnefred M Heydon, Clara Jennison and Jack Percy Greenwood Jennison.20
     In the 23 February 1939 obituary of Fred Elmer Wilbur which Nebraska Journal Leader, Ponca, Dixon, Nebraska, Elizabeth Verna "Bessie" Wilbur was listes as survivor.3
     On 17 October 1945, Elizabeth Verna "Bessie" Wilbur was living in Salem, Marion, Oregon, when she died at the age of 59. The information on the death certificate being supplied by Henry William Reinwald, her husband.5
     Elizabeth Verna "Bessie" Wilbur's obituary was printed in the The Oregon Statesman, circulated in Salem, Marion County, Oregon, on 19 October 1945. Leaving her husband Henry as a widower She was survived by Luetta Edith "Lue" Watson, Ruth Elizabeth Forman, Lloyd Henry Reinwald, Earle Stanley Reinwald, Lulu "Maude" Brewer, Florence Rose Johnson, Clara Jennison and Winnefred M Heydon.1
Elizabeth's obituary states:

REINWALD - Mrs. Bessie Verna Reinwald, at the residence, 148 West Wilson St., Wednday [sic], Oct 17. Survived by husband, Henry W. Reinwald, Salem; daughters Mrs. Luetta Watson, Miss Ruth Reinwald, Salem; sons, Sgt. Lloyd Reinwald, Ft. Lewis, Wash., and Cpl. Earle Reinwald, Camp Roberts, Calif., sisters, Mrs. Florence Johnson, Mrs. Maude Brewer and Mrs. Clara Jennison, all of Ponca, Neb., Mrs. Winnie Hayden, Newcastle, Neb., two grandchildren, Patricia Watson, and David Reinwald, Salem. Services will be held Saturday, Oct. 20 at 10:30 a.m., from the Clough-Barrick Chapel, with interment at Belcrest Memorial park. Rev. M. A. Getzendaner will officiate.1


     Elizabeth was buried on Saturday, 20 October 1945 in the Belcrest Memorial Park, located in Salem, Marion County, Oregon .5

     Clara "Kitty" Wilbur was born on 10 March 1890 in Ponca, Dixon, Nebraska.3 She was the daughter of Fred Elmer Wilbur and Mary Fleura "Mamie" Conrad.2
     Clara "Kitty" Wilbur appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Highland, Garfield, Nebraska in the household of her parents, Fred Elmer Wilbur and Mary Fleura "Mamie" Wilbur.1
     On 22 July 1914, Clara "Kitty" Banse married Jack Percy Greenwood Jennison in Denver, Denver County, Colorado.4,5
     Clara Jennison appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Ponca, Dixon, Nebraska in the household of her parents, Fred Elmer Wilbur and Mary Fleura "Mamie" Wilbur, with her husband, Jack Percy Greenwood Jennison, and their son John C.6

     Lulu "Maude" Wilbur appeared on the 1885 State Census of Daily Branch, Dixon, Nebraska in the household of her parents, Fred Elmer Wilbur and Mary Fleura "Mamie" Wilbur.4
     On 6 November 1897, Lulu "Maude" Wilbur married Henry Jack Brewer, son of George Brewer and Melissa Jane Warren, in Vermillion, Clay County, South Dakota.2,5
     Lulu "Maude" Brewer and Henry Jack Brewer appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Highland, Garfield, Nebraska, enumerated 10 July 1900., living next door is Fred and Mamie Wilbur, Jennie's sister. Also Mamie's sister, Jennie and her husband Will Cornell were living next door.6
     Lulu "Maude" Brewer and Henry Jack Brewer appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Ponca, Dixon, Nebraska, at 345 Iowa Street, enumerated 19 April 1910. Their daughter Iris Lenore was listed as living with them.5 Lulu "Maude" Brewer and Henry Jack Brewer appeared on the census of 1 June 1921 in Melrose, Alberta, Canada, also included in the household: Fred Ivan Brewer, Joseph Vincent Brewer, George Lavern Brewer, John Douglas Brewer and Norma Marguerite Brewer.7
     Henry Jack Brewer and Lulu "Maude" Brewer appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Ponca, Dixon, Nebraska, enumerated 11 April 1930. Their children Fred Ivan, Joseph Vincent, George Lavern, John Douglas, Norma Marguerite and Melba Mayme were listed as living with them.8
     In the 7 May 1936 obituary of Mary Fleura "Mamie" Conrad which printed in the Nebraska Journal Leader, circulated in Ponca, Dixon County, Nebraska, Lulu "Maude" Brewer was listes as survivor.9
     Lulu "Maude" Brewer was mentioned in the will of her father, Fred Elmer Wilbur filed on 28 September 1938 in in Ponca, Dixon County, Nebraska. The will also mentions: Elizabeth Verna "Bessie" Reinwald, Claudia Ann Christian, Florence Rose Johnson, Winnefred M Heydon, Clara Jennison and Jack Percy Greenwood Jennison.10
     In the 23 February 1939 obituary of Fred Elmer Wilbur which Nebraska Journal Leader, Ponca, Dixon, Nebraska, Lulu "Maude" Brewer was listes as survivor.1
     Henry Jack Brewer and Lulu "Maude" Brewer appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Ponca, Dixon, Nebraska, enumerated 9 April 1940. Their children Joseph Vincent, George Lavern and Melba Mayme were listed as living with them.11
     In the 19 October 1945 obituary of Elizabeth Verna "Bessie" Wilbur which printed in the The Oregon Statesman, circulated in Salem, Marion County, Oregon, Lulu "Maude" Brewer was listes as survivor.12
     Lulu "Maude" Brewer died on 12 August 1961 at the age of 80.13
     Lulu was buried after 12 August 1961 in the Ponca Cemetery, located in Ponca, Dixon County, Nebraska .13

     Elmira Eisenlord "Myra" Wilbur was born on 10 October 1849 in Lyons, Wayne, New York
Family story states that Elmira was born in Elmira, Chemung, New York, hence her name. However, New York vital stats state she was born in Lyons, Wayne, New York.3,4,5 She was the daughter of Jefferson Wilbur and Elizabeth Ann Trim.
     Elmira Eisenlord "Myra" Wilbur appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of in Lyons, Wayne County, New York, in the household of Alanson Wilbur and Sally Wilbur, her grandparents as well as her parents Jefferson and Ann Wilbur.5
     Elmira Eisenlord "Myra" Wilbur was probably included as a white female, age five to nine, in Jefferson Wilbur's household on the 1855 Census enumerated in in Spring, Boone County, Illinois.6
     On 9 July 1860, Fred, Clara, Elmira and Ida migrated to in Ponca, Dixon County, Nebraska, from left Bonus, Boone County, Illinois and with her parents Jefferson Wilbur and Ann Wilbur. They came in an oxen drawn covered wagon. Because of the value that Jefferson placed on education he chose land in Ponca, even though the acreage cost $7.00 an acre vs $1.25 an acre for Government land, in order for his children would be able to attend school. The School in Ponca was the only school that was near the property. The fact that the family left in July 1860 could be the reason that his family is not found on the census of 1860. They may have been missed by the census taker in both Illinois and Nebraska.7
     On 26 July 1868, Elmira Eisenlord "Myra" Wilbur married Isaac Smith Rowell, son of Joshua Rowell and Sybil Spaulding, in Ponca, Dixon County, Nebraska.4,8
     Elmira Eisenlord Rowell and Isaac Smith Rowell appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Ionia, Dixon, Nebraska, enumerated 26 July 1870. Their son A. C. was listed as living with them.9
     Elmira Eisenlord "Myra" Wilbur and Isaac Smith Rowell appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Park, Ouray, Colorado, enumerated 1 June 1880 Their children Albert Chester, Minnie Irene, Charles Paige and Eugene Clark were listed as living with them.10
     Elmira Eisenlord Rowell and Isaac Smith Rowell appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Surface Creek, Delta, Colorado, enumerated 1 June 1900. Their children Alfred Lee, Wilbur Spaulding, Sybil Ann and Ina Martha were listed as living with them.11
     Elmira Eisenlord "Myra" Wilbur was mentioned in the will of her father, Jefferson Wilbur filed on 23 August 1904 in Ponca, Dixon, Nebraska. The will also mentions: Fred Elmer Wilbur, Clara Wilbur, Ida Wilbur, Frank Wilbur, Minerva Wilbur, Lee Wilbur and John Albert Wilbur.12
     Elmira Eisenlord Rowell appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Cedaredge, Delta, Colorado, enumerated 27 April 1910. Her son Alfred Lee was listed as living with her.13
     Elmira Eisenlord "Myra" Wilbur appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Eureka, Humbolt, California, at 1303 Harris, enumerated 13 January 1920, reporting Elmira as a widow.14
     On 4 February 1924, Elmira Eisenlord "Myra" Wilbur was living in Eureka, Humboldt, California, when she died at the age of 74.1,8
