Merry
Christmas
From the Zamora Family
William, Renee, Philip & Garrett
Bill is retired but struggling
to move into the role of full time artist. There are just to
many things to enjoy that take up his time. He is finding
joy in family scripture study and attending the temple
weekly. Sadly, we remember the passing of our family cat, Charlie.
He was a faithful and loyal pet for 18.5 years. Bill spent the
most time with Charlie in his later years. It was especially hard
for Bill to see him go. Renee is now working full-time
at home for RootsMagic, a genealogy software company. She is
no longer considered disabled or on Social Security
Disability. That has been an exciting change for her. Renee
is the author of "Renee's Genealogy Blog" and a new one
called "Renee's Christian Life Blog". Her sister-in-law Tami
challenged her to post on Facebook a favorite verse for
seven days. After that she continued to post daily both on
Facebook and her Christian Life blog. She is overwhelmed by
the world-wide readership it has obtained. She has readers
in countries like China and Saudi Arabia were LDS
Missionaries are not yet serving. Being able to shared the
gospel is very important to her. Philip has struggled some after
his surgery for achalasia last year. He was extremely tired
and had no energy to complete the simplest of tasks. After
blood work was done he was found depleted in many essential
nutrients. He is on the road to recovery now. Phil attended
a class at Scenic View this year and found it very helpful
in learning how to work with autism. He enjoys being a
teacher in the Elders' Quorum, and has enjoyed attending the
temple this year. Phil did complete a huge project of
digitizing old videotapes of his grandparents. He will begin
editing them this coming year so they can be shared with the
whole family on YouTube. Marie was living with us until
September. She became angry at our request to begin paying
rent and left. We have not heard from her since. So, we have
no idea exactly where she is living. We understand from
others that she has a full-time job now and is living in the
Murray, Utah area. We feel it has been a blessing to all of
us, that she has begun to support herself. We wish her
nothing but the best in life. Garrett is still working for OfficeDepot/OfficeMax full-time. He still works part-time at the Salt Lake City & County building as the City Council Master-at-Arms. Garrett was living on his own most of this year. Once his old room became available again and his lease was up, he came home to live with us. Rent at Mom & Dad's is cheaper than an apartment! He will begin attending Utah Valley University in January for flight training to become a commerical pilot. This will fulfill a life-long dream of his. We are excited about his future plans. This year we also celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Harris family joining The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. On December 23, 1965 Philip, Alice, James and Brenda were baptized. Randy, Renee & Steven were yet to young. This joyous event changed the course of our family for the eternities. We are grateful to these family pioneers. May the legacy continue forever. We wish you a very Merry
Christmas and a Happy New Year! |
May the gift of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ's birth
bring peace and joy into your life.
He is the greatest Gift ever given.
