Geroge W McCoy was born in 1772/73.1. Daniel McCoy was born between 1735 and 1740 in Scotland. He died in 1799 in South Carolina. Daniel McCoy may have been in the Revolutionary War. No records found for him proving it, but a Daniel McCoy was at a meeting on Jan. 12, 1768 in South Carolina and this Daniel was there on that date. "Protestand Immigrants to South Carolina 1763 1773." Shows a Daniel McCoy, age 26 received 100 acres.
