At the time of Ann’s baptism in 1807 the family was noted as living at Tresco.3
At the time of the baptism of son Richard in 1830 Ann was noted as a “single woman” of Tresco.3
At the time of their marriage in 1830, Ann was noted as a ”single woman” from Tresco and Barnet a “bachelor” from Tresco. Note: Rick Smith’s family tree notes Barnet as a “shoemaker”.3
There is no record of Ann and Barnet on the Isles of Scilly after 1830. Richard Scadden Deason appears to have been raised from an early age by Ann’s brother John; at the time of his wedding in 1854, Richard referred to John as his “father”. There is no record of Mary Ann Nicholls on the Isles of Scilly until her marriage in 1860.3
