K-P Cemetery Peck Section P-23 HENRY LEE HANBY Tombstone reads: Henry Lee Hanby 1929 1934
HENRY LEE HANBY (b. 10-23-29; d. 01-26-34) was the only child of Henry Lloyd Hanby (b. 01-07-1890; & d. 1-07-1960) and Beverly Lloyd Jones (b. 06-26-1905; 106-08-1933). Henry Lee's mother had died in 1933 and he was living with his father's sister, Augusta Leigh Hanby Boyd, when he contracted spinal meningitis and died in 1934.
A partial copy of Henry Lee's obituary reads: "Henry Lee Hanby was born in Delta County October 23, 1929, and died January 26, 1934. Son of Henry Lloyd Hanby and Beverly Lloyd Hanby. His mother died June 8, 1933. Her health failing, she was forced to give her baby into Mrs. Frank Boyd's willing hands. Lee has always been a delicate child, and exceptionally loveable and happy. Everybody who saw him loved him. Although having no mother, he never lacked mother's love... He was buried beside his mother in the burying ground of the Peck family among three generations of his ancestry."
