James A KYSER  m. Frances “Fanny” RUDD January 1821 Lincoln County, TN.
 
James A. Kyser and Frances “Fanny” Rudd made their home in Lincoln County, TN.
Near Fayetteville. They had 10 children, all born in Tennessee. They moved to Texas in
1845 with all of their children but one. They laid claim to a 640 acre grant in Mercer’s
Colony, located in what is now Rockwall County, Texas. Their first child, Elizabeth
Anne KYSER, b. Dec. 21, 1851, married Calvin STONE and stayed in Lincoln County,
Tennessee. Elizabeth and Calvin had a large Family. Calvin was killed by Indians.
Elizabeth died in 1891 and is buried in Allen Cemetery in Moore County, TN.
 
The second child of James A. KYSER and Frances “Fanny” RUDD was
Harrison William KYSER, b. July 24, 1823. m. Maranda STONE in Tennessee on March 5, 1843. He was an attorney. He followed his family to Texas. .He first lived in Bonham, later moving to Kaufman County TX where he was County surveyor. Harrison KYSER was in the War Between the States where he served as a Captain in Colonel W. H. PARSON’s Regiment. His son, John KYSER, served under his command as well as his nephew, John KYSER, son of John Haywood KYSER. Harrison W. KYSER was appointed by Texas Governor A. J. HAMILTON to reorganize the county under President JOHNSON Reconstruction Policy. In 1866 he was engaged in publishing the Kaufman County Star Also, in 1866 he gained his license to practice Law in the State of Texas. He served as District Judge of Kaufman County He died February 5, 1905 and is buried in the City of Kaufman Cemetery.
 
The third child of James A. KYSER and Frances “Fanny” RUDD was John Haywood KYSER.. Haywood, b. March 16, 1825, m. Sarah Frances SAINT. They settled in Texas on a 640 acre land grant in Mercer’s Colony in what was then Henderson County, now Kaufman County. Haywood served in the War Between the States. He was a Sergeant in Terrell’s Regiment, 34th Texas Cavalry. He is buried in the Kyser Cemetery donated by him from his land grant in Cedarvale, Kaufman County, Texas. Sarah Frances is buried beside him.
 
The fourth child of James A. KYSER and Frances “Fanny” RUDD was Mary Harell,
called Polly, born May 22, 1827. Polly m. John C. SAINT November 21, 1844. John
SAINT was a brother to Sarah Frances SAINT who m. Haywood KYSER. Polly and
John SAINT came with the family to Texas but soon moved back to Tennessee,
Settling in Memphis where they prospered.
 
The fifth child of James A. KYSER and Frances “Fanny” RUDD was Lucinda, b. July 24, 1829. Lucinda m. James YEARY June 10, 1853. She died in 1855 at the birth of her first child. Lucinda is buried in the K-P Cemetery and is duly noted here.
 
The sixth child of James A. KYSER and Frances “Fanny” RUDD was Mahalia Jane b. May 30, 1831. She m. David YEARY November 1845. They lived most of their lives in Weatherford, Texas. Mahalia died November 6, 1929, at age 98. David was a brother to James YEARY, who m. Lucinda KYSER

The seventh child of James A. KYSER and Frances “Fanny” RUDD was Berry R. KYSER, b. December 28, 1833. Berry left home at an early age.
 
The eighth child of James A. KYSER and Frances “Fanny” RUDD was Wade M. KYSER, b. April 4, 1836. He m. Minerva Jane THOMPSON January 11, 1860. They are both buried in K-P Cemetery and are noted here.
 
The Ninth child of James A. KYSER and Frances “Fanny” RUDD was Milford H. KYSER  b. May 12, 1838. He died in 1859 in Cherokee County, while hauling supplies.
 
The tenth child of James A. KYSER and Frances “Fanny” RUDD was James Knox Polk KYSER, affectionately called “JKP”, born October 26, 1844. He was but a “babe in arms” when he came to Texas while Texas was a Republic. He married Susan Alabama PENRY October 13, 1870, who is buried in the Kyser Family Cemetery and whose bio is here. Susan died age 33 at the birth of their 7th child. JKP remarried, moved to Donley County, TX where he died and was buried beside his 2nd wife, Frances Indiana KEAHEY. JKP’s mother was called “Fanny”. His eldest daughter was “Fanny” and his second wife was called “Fanny”..
