General:
Goodrich - In Healdsburg, February 11, 1947, Milford Goodrich: loving father of Wayne and Irwin Goodrich of Healdsburg; brother of Edwin Goodrich of Acampo, Cal.; grandfather of Merle Mae Goodrich and David Goodrich of Healdsburg. A native of Volcano, Cal., aged 70 years.

Friends are invited to attend the funeral services Friday afternoon, February 14, at 2 o'clock from the chapel at Fred Young & Company in Healdsburg, the Rev. Moffat Dennis officiating. Interment, Oak Mound Cemetery.

Milford Goodrich, Veteran Cabinet Maker, Dies Tues.

Milford Goodrich, 79, resident in the Geyserville and Healdsburg area since 1881 and a veteran Healdsburg cabinet maker, died Tuesday as the result of tetanus infection.
Beginning in three fingers which Goodrich cut severely on a circular saw at the A. F. Stevens lumber yard Feb. 1, the infection developed in the injury Sunday morning.
Goodrich was rushed to the hospital where he became seriously ill and died Tuesday in spite of anti- tetanus serums.
The fatal accident occurred while the veteran cabinet maker was cutting some molding for work he was doing at the home of Mrs. R. B. Stevens. At first the fingers were believed to be healing satisfactorily.
Born May 18, 1876, in Volcano, Amador County, Calif., Goodrich was the son of Chandler and Mattie Whitehead Goodrich. He was the descendant of a family that came to American from England two years after the Mayflower and settled in Bingham, Maine.
Moving to Geyserville with his family in 1881, Goodrich went to school in Geyserville and then moved to Healdsburg. He learned the blacksmith trade from his father, and later joined with his brothers, Edwin and Doney, in the purchase of the Sotoyome Mill and Lumber Company, now known as the Hammond Lumber Co.
They sold the mill in 1900, following the death of their father, and Goodrich worked for the Alberson Mill until 1907, when the establishment was destroyed by fire.
Taking a position with the A. F. Stevens lumber company in 1908, he was connected with the firm until September, 1946, when he retired.
Goodrich married Nettie Moore in the Healdsburg Christian Church in 1901 and to the union two children, Irwin C. and Wayne were born. Mrs. Goodrich died Sept. 16, 1946.
During his long career as a cabinet maker and carpenter, Goodrich worked on almost every building built during that time in Healdsburg. His sons are now connected with the A. F. Stevens lumber company.
He was a prominent member of Friendship lodge, Knights of Pythias and Geyser Camp No. 370, Woodmen of the World. He joined the latter organization in 1909 and has been banker for the past 20 years.
Goodrich is survived by his sons, two grandchildren, Merle Mae and David Goodrich of Healdsburg, and a brother, Edwin Goodrich of Acampo, Calif. He was the brother of the late Doney Goodrich who died three years ago.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon (Friday) at 2 o'clock from the chapel of Fred Young and Company with Rev. Moffat Dennis officiating. Interment will be next to his wife in Oak Mound Cemetery
