General:
According to family, Nora Morris always claimed that her second husband was William Woodin, Secretary of the Treasury. I'm not sure this is true. She did marry a William Woodin but I don't believe the man she married was 32 years older than she was, and I don't think that her first husband William Jahnke was dead by the time William Woodin died in 1934. I have to do more research to determine which William Woodin she was married to, it is even possible that it was the son of William Woodin, also named William.

After receiving the death certificate of William Woodin Jr., son of William Woodin Sr. and Anna Jessup it is certain that it was the son that Nora Morris was married to.

In her brother Frank's obituary Nora is referred to as Nora Thompson of Apple Valley. After asking my mother about it she remembered that Nora had been married to someone named Thompson. Frank Morris died in 1960 and Nora's death certificate in 1987 is in the name Nora Woodin. If she was married to Thompson in 1960 and William Woodin died in 1949 she must have changed her name back to Woodin after they divorced or he died.

The 1920 census of Fort Smith City, Upper Twp., Sebastian Co., AR has Nora Morris living in the home of Mina Tye. She was 19 years old and born in Arkansas. Her father was born in Kentucky and her mother in Illinois. She was working as a nurse at Sparks Memorial Hospital at 916 S 12th Street on 15 January 1920.

Nora's first husband died in 1939 and William Woodin died in 1949
According to my mother, Nora Morris was William Woodin's nurse before she married him. Most of the family seems to be under the impression that William Woodin Jr. was the Secretary of Treasury. This is in fact not true, it was his father who was Secretary of Treasury under President Franklin Roosevelt.
