Clement Parsons his last will
In the name of God amen I Clement Parsons being weak in body but of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding, do make and publish this my last will and Testament in manner and form following--First my will and desire is that all my just debts be paid- 2ndly I give and bequeath unto my son in law John Bowles part of a Tract of Land lying in Charles County called amendment one hundred and seventy five acres to him and his heirs forever, also my will and desire is that John Bowles shall have my negro woman Henny and her child which he has now in possession and everything else which I have already given him- 3rdly My will and desire is that all which I have given to my son James Parsons, Joseph Parsons, Clement Parsons and my Daughter Susannah Molohon be brought into my Estate again and divided as I shall hereafter direct... 4thly My will and desire is that my Estate both Real and personal be equally divided between my Children after taking out my wifes thirds, that is to say, James Parsons, Joseph Parsons, Clement Parsons, John Parsons, Susannah Molohon and Mary Parsons- 5thly My will and desire is that the Children of John Bowles shall not have any part of my estate except what I have already bequeathed to their father- And I hereby nominate and appoint my two sons Joseph and Clement Parsons Executors of this my last will and Testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me heretofore made. In witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal this eighteenth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred ninety three

Saint Mary's County, the 13th day of March 1793-Then Came Stephen Jones, Joseph Howard and Leonard Johnson, the three subscribing witnessess to the written last will and Testament of Clement Parsons late of Saint Mary's County, deceased and severally made oath in the Holy Evangels of Almighty God, that they did see the Testator therein named, sign and seal this will, and that they heard him publish, pronounce and declare the same to be his last will and Testament, that at the time of his so doing, he was to the best of their apprehensions of sound and disposing mind, memory, and understanding; and that they respectively subscribed their names as witnessess to this will, in the Presence and at the request of the Testator and in the presence of each other-Certified by Jeremiah Jordan Regt. General:
In the name of God amen.
I, Clement Parsons of the County of Washington and State of Kentucky, being weak in body, but of a sound mind and memory, do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament, by here revoking all other former Wills.
First, I bequeath my soul to God, who gave it, and my body to the earth, to be buried with descent burial, at the discretion of my friends.
2nd I will that all my just debts be paid.
3rd I will that all my estate of every kind, except such as I shall otherwise dispose of, be sold on a credit of Twelve Months except my land which may be sold on such credits, as my Executors, in their discretion, may think best.
4th I will my wife, Elizabeth Parsons, to have as much of my personal Estate, at the appreaisment, as She may think necessay for her use.
5th I will and bequeth to my wife, Elizabeth Parsons all the money arising from the sale of my Estate, except Twenty dollars, which I bequeth to my son Joseph, and one hundred dollars, which I bequeth to my son Edward and one hundred dollars, which I bequeth to my son Robert. This money I bequeth to these my sons in place of a horse, briddle and saddle
I will, at the death of my wife, that fifty dollars be given to each of my children, and the balance to be equally divided between my six children, and the children of my son Henery (sic) deceased, making, in all, Seven shares.
6th I will and bequeth to my wife Elizabeth Parsons one sett of silver Tea spoons, one pair of silver Sugar Tongues and one silver Tea canister, to have and to hold and dispose of, as she may think propper at her death.
I do hereby appoint my wife Executrix, and my son James G. Parsons Executor of this my last Will and Testament, signed this Twenty third day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty--
