"William Rankin, the father of these five brothers, and his brother Benjamin Rankin lived on adjoining farms in Dromore Townland on the "Abercorn Donegal Estate" in Donegal Co., Ireland in 1806. These two farms were purchased by a descendant of Benjamins in 1887 and are owned by the Rankins today (June 6, 1954 H.I. Rankin)" 13
