James Daniel Way, 80, of Aitkin died Sunday, July 6, 2008 at Oakridge Homes, Aitkin. VISITATION:10 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2008 until the 11 a.m. memorial service in Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home Aitkin. Burial at Lake View Cemetery, Aitkin.
James Daniel Way, 80, Aitkin, died July 6, 2008, at Oakridge Homes, Aitkin.
He was born June 7, 1928, in Aitkin to Ellis and Nellie (Bronner) Way. He lived in Aitkin for several years, then at Faribault Day School, Brainerd Regional Human Service Center, and Oakridge Homes. He enjoyed looking at magazines, sitting on the deck or looking out windows, watching people, working at the Developmental Achievement Center in McGregor, going on outings in the community, visits with his mother and spending time with his Oakridge Homes family.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the 11 a.m. Fri., July 18, memorial service at Sorensen-Root-Thompson Fu-neral Home in Aitkin. The Rev. Angie Way will officiate. Burial will be at Lake View Cemetery, Aitkin.
He is survived by his mother, Nellie, Aitkin; sisters and brother-in-law, Mildred "Rusty" Teigland, Chico, Calif., and Ardie (Don) Meacham, Bemidji; brothers and sisters-in-law, Aldean (Betty), Chico, Calif.; Marvin (Terryl), Aitkin; Dallas (Joyce), Bemidji; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
