Sharon Kathleen Guiles SHARON KATHLEEN GUILES May 19, 1934 - October 21, 2004 Sharon Guiles, 70, native of Woodland, Calif., died after a brief battle with cancer on October 21, 2004, in Walnut Creek. She received her B.A. in Liberal Studies through San Francisco State University. Even though she was a substitute teacher, she was the district's most active substitute teacher, teaching until just two weeks ago. She was well-known by many students as Mrs. G. Her passions were her family; she was a devoted grandmother, teacher, and a loyal Oakland Raiders and San Jose Sharks fan. She was a parishioner of St. Augustine's Catholic Church. Sharon is survived by her loving family, sons, Jeffrey Guiles of Livermore and Anthony Guiles of Pleasanton, daughters, Kimberly Kennedy of Livermore and Cynthia Goltz of Livermore. She also leaves behind her 4 adored grandchildren, Sarah Kennedy, and Brandyn, Bret and William Rasmussen, and precious Payton Guiles, who will be born in two weeks. She was preceded in death by her brother, Terry Boyle. Memorial Mass Tuesday, October 26, 2004, at 3 p.m., St. Augustine's Catholic Church, 3999 Bernal Ave., Pleasanton, CA 94566. Burial at St. Augustine's Cemetery, Pleasanton, Calif. Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Sharon Guiles Memorial Scholarship Fund for Foothill High School Special Education, Bank of Walnut Creek, Pleasanton, Acct. #5045118.
