WINDSTORM ON EASTER SUNDAY TAKES LIFE OF SMALL BOY (April 13, 1941)

Tragedy, on the wings of the windstorm Sunday afternoon, befell Marshall County, taking the life of 5 1/2 year old Max Campbell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Campbell, living 4 1/2 miles south of Van Cleve.

While playing alone in the yard the child was apparently picked up by the wind and dashed against a brooder house which collapsed in the storm. The boy suffered a skull fracture and broken limbs and believed to have died almost instantly. County Coroner, Dr. Rodney Wells investigated the accident and said that the boys body was found in the wreakage having struck the building with great force.

Max was one of a family of 11 children and was born near Gilman five years ago last August.

The funereal was held on Wednesday Afternoon from the Methodist church at Laurel with the Yocom Funeral Parlors of Melbourne in charge of arrangements. 6
