     The second child of Thomas McClung and Nancy Black was b. abt 1770. He married Jane McClung 7 Jan 1806 (dau of Capt Samuel McClung) (Gr Co Mg, p. 42). He drowned in the Meadow River in Greenbrier Co. WV 5 Feb 1816. She died 6 May 1822. They resided at Lewisburg,WV. They had five children.

     The second child of Alexander and Jane McClung was b. 12 Feb 1808. He md 4 Dec 1834 Rebecca J. Walker. She was born 25 May 1812; d. 12 July 1850. Charles died 25 Dec 1882. He resided at Harriston, VA. They had eight children.

     The first child of Charles and Rebecca Walker was b. 27 Nov 1835. He was a Confederate Captain and commanded Company E, 1st Regiment of Virginia Cavalry. Resided at Harriston, VA. Unmd. Harry McClung has sent in his Parole Document from the Civil War.

     The second child of Charles and Rebecca Walker was b. 4 Sept 1837. She married James Griffin Rader 7 Dec 1857. They resided at Frankford, WV. They had three sons and 4 daughters with one named Laura.

     The third child of Charles and Rebecca Walker was b. 28 July 1839. He was in the Confederate Army and served as 2nd Sergeant in Company E, 1st Virginia Cavalry. He married Mary Rossen from Louisa Co., VA. They resided at Huntington, WV. They had two daughters.

5-6 WILLIAM CHARLES McCLUNG

     The fifth child of Charles and Rebecca Walker was b. 7 Sep 1843. He was a commercial traveler, and represented the Fairbanks Scales Company for many years. He resided in Baltimore, Md., until a short time prior to his death. He was a soldier in the Confederate Army in Company E, 1st Virginia Cavalry. He died in Washington, D.C. 23 Nov 1901. He was unmarried.

6-6 JOHN FRANKLIN McCLUNG

     The sixth child of Charles and Rebecca Walker was b. 14 Apr 1846. He served in the Confederate Army in Company E, 1st Virginia Cavalry. He married Jennie Maria Patterson. She was b. 9 Feb 1847 and died 17 May 1901. They resided at Harriston, WV. They had 10 children.
