Then they moved to Gauley Bridge and drilled wells there, then back to Summersville. He was Justice of the Peace in the district. He was a mail carrier for a number of years. BENNETT (AND the paternal granddaughter of Mordecia Edward & Margaret McCLUNG HALSTEAD). Icie M. HALSTEAD md. 1) Buster Sr. McCLUNG on October 28, 1908. Buster was the son of Adaniram Judson & Louisa Jane McCLUNG McCLUNG. Icie & Buster HALSTEAD McCLUNG had five children. He was killed by a falling limb as he worked timber and died 18 Oct 1923. Widowed Icie M. HALSTEAD McCLUNG md. 2) John Lewis EVANS on March 01, 1925. John Lewis was the son of Alkana A. EVANS (NOT Alkana Griff EVANS) & Minerva Catherine DIETZ. No known children. John EVANS died in 1951. Icie M. HALSTEAD McCLUNG EVANS didn't pass away for another twenty (20) years.Icie was interred at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemtery, Mt. Lookout, Nicholas Co., WV. Mary died sometime before 1837. Boston then married Mary (Polly) Nelson 23 March 1837 in Fayette Co.Va. They had 3 children before Boston died in Missouri Dec 1845. Mary Nelson Shawver then married Charles David Ard and had 3 children before Charles was killed in Civil war in 1862. (Descendant: George Alderson Shawver).
