(179) JAMES STANCLIFF married MARGARET A. GRAHAM
JAMES GRAHAM
A resident of Edinboro, Washington Township, Erie County, PA. His will and Probate distribution(1) revealed his children. The Will written Apr. 1, 1845 was proved July 22, 1848, wife not mentioned in 1845 when Will was written.
James Graham came to the Erie County, PA area in 1800(2) and was active in the Methodist Epicopal Church along with James' father, Russel Stancliff. James Graham was a Cicuit Rider for the United Methodist Church. "Rev. John Graham, second preacher on the Erie Circuit, was admitted ito full connection and ordained a deacon in 1814, and an elder in 1816. He continued to labor within the bounds of the Ohio Conference until 1825. When the Pittsburgh Conference was formed he became a member of that Conference where he labored until 1833, when he located."(3) The names of both men frequently appeared as those attending early Conference meetings(4). The will of James Graham indicated that his land adjoined the land of James Stancliff.

1. THOMAS GRAHAM must have already received inheritance before Will.
2. CORNELIUS GRAHAM must have already received inheritance before Will.
3. MARY GRAHAM must have received inheritance before will as she was only given $1.00.
4. MARGARET A. GRAHAM born 1801 in VA, married JAMES STANCLIFF son of Russel and Desire [____] Stancliff. Her husband, James Stancliff, was cited in her father's Will. Margaret received a 2 acre lot in Edinboro, bordering on land already owned by James Stancliff.
5. LETTICIA or ELIZABETH GRAHAM received part of father's homelot just north of the land of James Stancliff.
