Son of Daniel and Lydia [Avery] Everest Erwin Mix born Nov. 5, 1725(3), died May 1803, married DEMARIS OLMSTEAD daughter of Stephen and Sarah [Merrill] Olmstead of West Hartford, CT(4). Demaris died Sangerfield, NY Jun. 11, 1795 aged about 64. Gamamiel Olmstead, her brother, was in the 1790s, a member of the Presbyterian Church at New Hartford, Oneida County, NY(5). This is the Church that the Mix family and the Stanclift family belonged to. At least two of their children, Giles and Demaris stayed in this area for several years. Isaac Mix was also believed to have died in Sangerfield, NY. Name spelled Mix, Meekes, Micks.

3. BENJAMIN MIX(6) born Dec. 21, 1756, died Dec. 31, 1834, buried Schenectedy, Schenectedy County, NY, married ESTHER PALMER daughter of Micah and Esther [Jacokes] Palmer born Nine Partners, Dutchess County, NY Aug. 16, 1760, died Apr. 17, 1849 and had nine children. Lived 1790 in Halfmoon, Saratoga County, NY. In 1821 he is found in the First Presbyterian Church of Whitesboro in Whitestown, Oneida County, NY. His son Michael was examined and received into the church on July 21, 1821 and a note indicates "The session met at the house of Benjamin Mix and on confession his son Michael who is apparently declining with the consumption" Michael was deceased two months later and a note says the handwriting was difficult to read(7). Benjamin's Pension record indicates that he died Whitesborough, Sept. 16, 1821.
4. DEMARIS MIX born 1757, married BILDAD MERRILL and they appear with Giles Mix and family in the Presbyterian Church records of New Hartford, NY as members in 1791(8). Andrew Merrill, son of Bildad and Demaris baptized June 10, 1792, Sarah daughter of Bildad baptized Apr. 11 and died Apr. 12, 1794, a stillborn child on Nov. 23, 1796 and Demaris probably died then also. Bildad married again at the First Presbyterian Church of Whitesboro, Whitestown, NY(9) to Hannah Lewis of Whitestown on Feb. 24, 1796, she transferred to the Church in New Hartford in 1797 and Lewis son of Deacon Bildad baptized Sept. 30, 1798. In 1806 he was dismissed to a Church at Steuben. He evidently returned and with wife and son, Andrew, Joined the church at Whitestown in 1812 by letters from the Church of Christ in Trenton, Holland Patent.

10. GILES PETER MIX born West Hartford, CT 1771, died York Mills, Oneida County, NY 1832(10), married Presbyterian Church of New Hartford, Oneida County, NY Oct. 4, 1792 MARY STANCLIFT "Molly" daughter of Comfort and Eunice [Ranney] Fox Stanclift. They were in Sangerfield, Chenango County, now Oneida County, NY in 1796(11) with Comfort Stanclift, Samuel Stanclift and the Solomon and Margaret [Stanclift] Williams, brothers and sister of Mary. They were still in Sangerfield in 1800 and Mary's sister Bette [Stanclift] Grover and husband Daniel had joined them. They belonged to the First Presbyterian Church of Whitesboro between 1819 and 1830 when along with others they were dismissed to form a new church at York Mills. Their son, Hiram, married his cousin Sally Stanclift, daughter of Lemuel and Mehitable [Goff] Stanclift.

THE HISTORY OF WALLINGFORD by Charles Henry Stanley Davis page 248 says he was born Nov. 5, 1727, and Pension Records of Benjamin Mix give his birth date as Nov. 25, 1725.
4. .Stephen Olmstead was son of Thomas and Hannah [Mix] Olmstead. Sarah Merrill was daughter of John and Sarah [Marsh] Merrill. Stephen Olmstead's mother, Hannah Mix, was daughter of Thomas and Rebecca [Turner] Mix of New Haven born June 30, 1666 and married Thomas Olmstead June 25, 1694.
