George W. Arthur
J. Thomas Arthur was born on 4 April 1840 in County
Clare, Ireland. He was in
Baltimore by 1864 when he married Sarah Jane Darmody.
Officer Arthur served in Baltimore City's Police
Department at the Central Station.
In the bottom photo, he is the older gent seated
on the right side of the picture.
George W. Arthur, son of J.Thomas was born in Baltimore
24 August 1873.
In 1897 he married Margaret
Matilda Kelly. He died 13 May 1911.
The photo of the Central Police Department was taken
about 1890. Notice the details, brass
lamps and sconces, polished furniture with turned
legs ... I think there's even
a telephone on the desktop at the left.
