William Shorey created this cabinet card image of
William Benzin. At first, I thought his surname
was Bell,
but on closer evaluation, I think Bell is really
Bill and refers
to a nickname for William. In the original, there
is plenty
of room to have written Bell to the right of Benzin.
The only other question is whether Benzin is the
correct
surname. You can judge for yourself.
