(4) Edgar Allen Buell, (4) John Alfred Buell, and (6) Gertrude Buell. The photograph is
owned by Roberta Ann (Buell) McJilton, granddaughter of John Alfred and Sarah
Emma Buell.

John Alfred Buell was a Methodist minister.  From
1907 until 1915, he werved at Keen Memorial Church in Hampden. He was
born on 12 November 1872  and died 20 April 1958. The others in the picture
include his first wife, Sarah Emma Buell, 1872-1908. To Sarah's right
is the father of our submitter, John Russell Buell, Sr., (1902-1989).
In the middle is Goldie Mae Buell (Anderson), 1893-1969.
On Grandfather's lap is Edgar Allen Buell, (1903-1974)
and the last daughter is Gertrude G. Buell (1894-1933)

John Alfred Buell was a ""Lay Minister,"' he did not have the official title
of Minister/Reverend. He served several churches, two at a time
sometimes, including Stone Chapel and Gill Church. His obituary states that
he preached at Gills Church, Walnut Avenue near Upper Park
Heights Avenue, for 20 years.
