Daisy Conway (left) and her sister Sadie Conway
were both daughters of Tom and Rosie Thompson Conway. These photos were
probably made in the 1920s when the Thompsons and Conways were residents
of East Towson
Jenny Thompson was the sister of Rosie Thompson Conway, therefore the aunt of the two young ladies in the above photos.
These pictures are from Louis
Diggs' collection, "Black Life in Baltimore County." Mr. Diggs is an
historian and author of several works relating to African-American communities
