Shelley Cardiell has rescued the above cabinet card
which was
made in the Getz Photo Studio between 1879 and 1886 when
the photographer was located at 42 North Charles Street.
Shelley has done some sleuthing and believes the subject
of
this photo is Celia O'Conner daughter of Hugh and Bridget Fahey O'Conner
who would have been born about 1863. She was the second wife of
William Caleb Cross. Cecila may be related to Julia and Mary O'Conor
whose photos are also displayed on this website.
Shelley is eager to make contact with descendants
of this family
in order to give the photos a proper home. She may be contacted
