This oval cabinet card was made in the Hebbel Studio
which was
located for many years on Gay Street, however at this address (no. 321)
it existed only in year 1903.
The name of the subject is written on the reverse
side. It is possible
that the surname is Dongwillo rather than Dowgwillo. Either way
there are no matches in the 1900 Maryland census enumeration.
Interestingly, he is wearing a lapel button, which
when scanned at very
hight resolution, shows the image of a photograph, probably a man.
This photo was submitted by Michael Brill and is available
to anyone
proving a connection to the subject.
