Margaret Calvano shared these cabinet card images
of her ancestors, Jacob and Kunigunda Ruppert Krebs. Jacob was born in
1827 in Wiesen, Bavaria and died in Baltimore about 1890. His first wife
was Maria Anna Rueth who he married in 1853. He married Kunigunda on 28
May 1872 in Saint Michael's Catholic Church in East Baltimore.
Jacob's cabinet card includes only the address of
the studio, but not the name. John Betz, Jr occupied the shop at 417 North
Washington Street in the 1880s. Kunigunda's photo was made by John J. Kirkness
on Broadway.
