The Lochary Family
Many THANKS to Michael Brill a fellow genealogist
in California.
He found this collection of photos and sent them
to me. Mostly, these
images are of the Lochary Family, however other
surnames are included.

The carte-de-visite photograph of George Lochary
was made in
the Stephen Israel Studio on Baltimore Street
between 1860 and 1868 when the photographer was
located
at number 125. Since the photo has no federal revenue
stamp,
it was not created in 1863 through 1865. The memorial
card
states that George died on 24 June 1898 at age
71 years.
The 1880 U.S. Census sheds more light on George
Lochary and his
extended family. The only Lochary family found
in Maryland in this census
lived in Churchville, Harford County. The census
