Henry Marks

Henry Marks was born in 1842. He served in the
Union Army during the Civil War alongside his friend and brother-in-law
Andrew Bennett, who died
in 1861.
Fortunately, Henry lived a longer life.
The above photos contrast his image as a
young man, probably in the late 1860s on the left
(studio unknown) and as an elderly gentleman
probably from the 1880s or later on the right.
It appears that the image on the right
was made roughly at the same time
and certainly in the same studio (JB Trainor)
as the reproduction of his Civil War buddy
Andrew Bennett's picture.
Marks married Margaret Bennett on 15 November 1863.
These photos have been submitted by Henry Marks'
great great grand daughter JoAnn Marshall.
