This is an unusual photo. It appears to have been
taken not in a studio
but in someone's home as the background is clearly
wallpaper. The
lighting is poorly set up as might be expected
outside of a professional
studio. There is no studio logo or any other information
available
with regard to this photo other than the name.
Henry Sander was the owner of a large funeral home
establishment
in Baltimore City, it having closed in the mid-1990s
after nearly 150
years of business. I do not know if this photo
is of the same Henry
Sander but it is certainly possible. The photo
was found in a Fell's
Point antique store.
