Rebecca and Nellie Walker were likely sisters.
These photos were found together and are submitted by Michael Brill.
A search in the US Census indices for Walker families
in Baltimore City
failed to uncover any immediate candidates for the birth
family of these women ... although there are lots of Walkers!
Anyone proving descent from or a connection to these
two women may contact the webmaster.
The reverse sides of the cabinet cards demonstrate
the detailed
Victorian artistry of some of the 19th-century photo studios.
Ashman and Holyland were popular studios in Baltimore.
At the bottom of the Ashman logo is the statement "copyright 1889."
