This is a great cabinet card!
It is labelled:
Witt Wehrhane, Febry. 1894
Mr. Wehrhane is attired in a good-looking uniform that
to my eye at least, does not appear to
be military. Perhaps he is part of a band?
There are a number of Wehrhane families enumerated
in Maryland in the 1880 census but by 1900 only two remain.
There are no individuals named Witt or anything
similar and there are no matches found among the
World War I draft registrations.
