are kinda' neat!
Anna Catharina Ruppert was born in Baltimore 20
June 1842 to
Joseph
and Katharina Weitzel Ruppert. She married at
First German United Evangelical Church in 1860
to Charles Yingling, son
of Christian A. Juengling and Anna Maria Kimmerle.
Charles Christian Yingling, was Charles and Catharina's
eldest son born in 1865.
He and his brother Joseph were baseball players,
known
in east Baltimore as "Yingling brothers battery
of ball players."
Both played locally for a team known as the Pattersons
while Charles
played for a short time in the New England League
for Philadelphia.
Charles Yingling is shown above lying on his right
side in this great
old photo from roughly 1890. Note the uniform.
The photo studio is
unknown as is the whereabouts of the left half
of the original photo.
