Getting Started

Start with your self and work backwards...
ask your parents,,grands,,aunts,,
uncles,,cousins even friends of family.....
anyone that is willing to talk.
Don't give up keep after them
someone will talk to you eventually.
Make sure you document everything
with a tape recorder or
video that way you don't ask the
same questions over and over...
use this for future references and
it also makes for a great memory saver.
Make sure you check,,and double check
everything. Get Birth,,Marriage,,Death
Certificates as they should
( depending on informant )
have some great info..
(i.e, dates and family names and
places of happenings )
