COL. BENJAMIN FOSTER  (Benjamin, Benjamin, Isaac, Reginald) b. 26 Jun 1726 (bapt. 1728 Greenland NH) d. 4 Jul 1818 Machias, ME  was in the war with Canada serving under Gen Abercrombe. with Sir William Pepperell at Louisburg surrender (1745.)on his 19th birthday & he was raised to COl.  One of he leaders in the band of Patriots that captured the British armed cutter MARGARETTA, Machias Bay 12 Jun 1775 "Recieved the thanks of the Provincial Congress 1775 for aiding the capture of Sloops belonging to the enemy " DAR Lineage Book vol 86 p.96-7  (DAR 113707) RETURN


BENJAMIN FOSTER  ( Benjamin, Benjamin, Benjamin, Isaac, Reginald) b. 1754 Attleboro, MA  d. 10 Nov 1835 Mercer County PA.    " Benjamin Foster (1754-1835) service: 1776-80 private, corporal and sargent under Capt Jerthmel Powers, Thomas Sawyer & Abraham Salisbury; Col.'s Thomas Lee and Seth Warner, Vermont Troops. 1832 he applied for pension  from Essex County NY and was allowed. Son of Col Benjamin Foster above.  DAR lineage Book vol.98 p.14

JACOB FOSTER  ( Benjamin, Benjamin, Benjamin, Isaac, Reginald) b.Scarborough ME  d. 25 Feb 1824 Trenton, MA  Occupation Gunmaker.  He and his brother John went to Massachusetts where they engaged in the gunsmithing trade.  He appears to have been living in Trenton in 1791, NW side of Jordan River where he married his first wife.  He was a selectman of the town that year.  Revolutionary  War Service:  Gunmaker for the Continental Army 1776.  He resided in Bridgewater for a time.  SAR reference code; OS-42, 5:114  RETURN


JOHN FOSTER  (Benjamin, Benjamin, Benjamin, Isaac, Reginald)  b. 1754 Scarborogh ME  d. 1842 East Machias, ME. Went to Bridgewater Mass with his brother Jacob. Resided there in 177.  Revolutionary War Service - Gunmaker for Contenental Army 1776;  See entry above for brother Jacob.  Son of Col. Benjamin Foster  above.
