Rock Hill or Scott cemetery, Bethel
Township, Monroe County, Ohio. I did not visit this
cemetery, and the information is from “Monroe County, Ohio Records” by
Catharine F. Fedorchak (CFF), Volume VI. Catharine did a reading of this cemetery on
August 22, 1967. Her description of the
cemetery: “Rias Run Road – in Bethel
Township, near the boundary with Washington Township.” From Wayne West: “Rias Run, he said it was up the hill right
after (Blue Hole) and before the block pump use to be building by first run
crossing, it is up to the left up that hill.” The Blue Hole is on T 305, so
this cemetery is on the ridge between T 303 and T 305. The coordinates are approximately 39°38'56.9"N
81°12'59.4"W or 39.649127, -81.216507.
There is another Scott cemetery in
Monroe county, Ohio, but it is located in Washington
Township, on Pleasant Ridge Rd. Some of
the stones found by CFF located in the cemetery in Bethel Township are
incorrectly placed in the cemetery in Washington Township on findagrave. The
cemetery located in Bethel Township is not on findagrave.
