BARRINGTON.

DEATH AND FUNERAL. - It was with deep regret that the villagers heard of the demise of Mrs. Hanna WINTER, wife of Mr. George WINTER, on Friday of last week, after a short illness, at the age of 70 years. Deceased was highly-respected by a large circle of relatives and friends. The interment took place at the parish churchyard on Tuesday, the Rev. J. D. KENWOOD, B.A., rector of Puckington, officiated. Blinds were drawn en route from the residence to the churchyard. The hymns “Rock of Ages” and “O Heavenly Jerusalem” were sung. The principal mourners present were: Mr. G. WINTER, widower; Mrs. Bertha DABINETT, daughter; Mr. Charlie WINTER, son; Mrs. Minnie MORRIS, daughter; Mrs. Ruth DRAYTON, sister; Mr. James BRIDGE, brother-in-law; Mrs. Agnes WINTER, daughter-in-law; Mrs. James WINTER, daughter-in-law; Masters Reginald and Harold WINTER, grandsons; Miss Lily PITTARD, Mrs. May CLARK, Mrs. Jessie BRIDGE, Mrs. Blanch BOND, Mrs. Dorothy GLOVER, Miss Minna MEADE, Mrs. Mary Ann ROWSELL, nieces; Mr. Bert DRAYTON, nephew; and Mr. John MALE, from America. Members of the Mothers' Union also followed, the deceased having been a member of that body. Much sympathy is expressed with the husband and grown-up family, one son and two daughters being in America. The bearers were the following: Messrs. MORRIS, William DABINETT (son-in-law), Fred MALE, and Sidney ROUSELL. The undertaking was satisfactorily carried out by Mr. C. CLARK, of Barrington. The floral tributes were very beautiful and included one from the Mothers' Union.
