Magistrates: J. R. ALLEN, and J. S. LEAN, Esquires.

An old man named Thomas OATEN was charged with vagrancy, at Pitminster. The prisoner was found about half-past 3 this morning, by Police constable DEWEY, in as cow-shed belonging to Mr. VALENTINE, farmer. He was sleeping on some hay in a tallet. When found he was unable to give and satisfactory account of himself, and was constable took him into custody. The Bench committed him to gaol for 7 days.
