DEATH OF MISS W. COLLARD. - The death took place at 2, Highclere-terrace, South-street, on Thursday, of Miss Winnie COLLARD, who was employed at Messrs. Brake's, of East-street, as shop assistant for about eight years. The funeral took place on Tuesday at St. Mary's Cemetery. The first part of the service was held in Silver-street Chapel, where many of deceased's friends gathered to pay a last token of respect. The Rev. M. L. MURPHY, who officiated, spoke of the way in which she bore her illness and of the bright smile she gave those who visited her. The deceased's favourite hymn, “Peace, Perfect Peace,” was sung, Mr. CLEMENTS being at the organ. As the body was taken from the chapel the “Dead March” in Saul was played. The coffin was of unpolished elm, with brass fittings, and bore the inscription:- “Winnifred Bessie Collard, died January 14th, 1932, aged 23 years.” The mourners were Mr. E. COLLARD (father), Miss Stella COLLARD (sister), Mr. Leslie COLLARD (brother), and Mrs. E. COLLARD (step-mother). Mr. KNIGHT represented Messrs. Brake. - The funeral arrangements were entrusted to Mr. E. E. WHITE, of 138, East-Reach.
