Death of Mrs. Cooper Yesterday. Well Beloved Woman Entered Into Rest After a Long Term of Patient Suffering. Death entered another home in this village yesterday morning and Mrs. Will Cooper was released from suffering. After an illness of over a year, the last four weeks of which she was confined to the bed, her sorrowing relatives and friends could not help but feel that it was best for her as she was ready to die and had wished for the end to come. Adelia Rose was born in the town of Lyndon, November 14, 1858, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Rose. When she was about six years old her parents and family moved to Hardys Corners and since that time she has been a resident of this vicinity. She was married to William Cooper on December 26, 1876. To them two children were born, a baby who died in infancy and Henry Cooper of this village. For the past fifteen years they have lived in this village. Mrs. Cooper was a member of the Methodist church, a kind and loving wife and mother and greatly beloved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed in her home and by her friends. Besides her husband and son she is survived by one sister, Mrs. George Cole, a brother, Fred Rose, of Chaffee and a half-brother, Buell Rose of Lyndon. The funeral services will be held at the home Saturday afternoon at two o'clock with interment at the Hardys Corners cemetery. -- Unidentified newspaper clipping, hand-dated March 23, 1917
