NOTES NAME The marriage certificate of daughter Emily states that the marriage occured at Westgate Chapel, Bradford on Feb. 1, 1879. William Hampshire Buckroyd, 24, Bachelor, Mechanic and living at 24 Seal St., Manningham married Emily Ann Grant, 21, Spinster, living at 17 Bavaria Place, Manningham. William's father is not listed. Emily's father is Robert Nichols Grant, Cloth. Witnesses were Sarah Jane Grant and John Stafford. TOLL HOUSE In the 1851 census Robert is a "toll bar keeper" and in the 1871 census he was a "toll collector" living in Snaygil which is near where the Toll house on Roundhay Rd in Leeds used to be.
