Paul and Dorothea are buried along with all seven of their children in the Huerter plot at St. Joseph's Cemetery.

She married Paul Huerter in Gross Point, IL, 1/12/1858. They were granted a dispensation from the Church since they were second cousins. They were married at St. Joseph Church. He was the son of Peter Joseph Huerter and Maria Elizabeth Ackerman.
Paul died 2/2/1886. Paul's occupation: Saloon Keeper in Gross Point, IL, 1870. The 1870 federal census lists them as Paul and Dorothea "Hester," living in Wilmette, with four children (Anton, Joseph, Peter, and Catherine), and mentions his occupation of saloon keeper. The saloon was located in Gross point on the west side of Ridge Road, about half way between Lake Avenue and Schiller Street. Later, it was operated by their son Jacob G., until his death in 1909.
Dorothea Schneider and Paul Huerter had the following children:

village of Gross Point in the History of Cook County (page 467), published by A.T. Andreas in 1884.
