4. The newspaper notice of Clara Schneider's (Viola's mother) funeral services.
5. A postcard Hilda (Viola's sister) sent Viola. My father's notes indicate it was Peter and Clara Schneider's house.
6. Is the back of the postcard. Hilda sent it to: Mrs. Fred L. Haner, 520 E. Lomita St., Glendale, Calif. 91205 Apt. 8. It's postmarked Dec. 26, Detroit, MI. [ The year ends with a 2, the postage is 6 cents,the UP Postal Service charged 6 cents for postcards between May 18, 1971 and March 2, 1974 (per
www.akdart.com), so the year must have been 1972. ]

Situated on land owned by Lewis Cass, Former Michigan Governor, and adjacent to the West Canfield Historic District, and bordering Wayne State University. This colorful Victorian Mansion, Built in 1883 is now a part of the Renaissance Movement in Detroit.
Hilda signed the card writing: Dear Viola: Tried all day Xmas to get you on the phone! Wanted to tell you Shirley and I are coming on Jan. 7th. Will let you know the time later. I bet you were at one of the children. Hi to Walter & Doris! & all the (severt ??) ones. Lovely, Hilda
Also, my dad was wrong. Viola's middle name was Mary, not Marie.
