Letter of Appreciation, 9 April 1974

In spite of my Article 15 early in my time at Hanau for missing assembly after my all night Fire Watch I received this letter of commendation. No doubt a fairly standard letter given to all completing their time of duty in this unit. The spelling errors are in the original.

SUBJECT: Letter of Appreciation				          9 April 74


TO:  SCHNEIDER, John Joseph
     xxx-xx-xxxx

     1. I wish to take this opportunity to commend you for the Superior Manner
in which you have discharged your duties as Ration Issure Clerk for the 503D S&T
Bn.

     2. Your loyalty, your readiness to extend extra effort and hours, your
adaptability to new and changing conditions, and the ability to follow through
to completion of all assigned task, have been of immeasureable assistance during
your tour as issure clerk, for ration break down.

     3. Your energetic application, coupled with your knowledge of procedures,
has permitted issues between Unit's of this Division and the 503D S&T Bn Ration
Break Down to be consumated efficiently and with out losses of Supplies.

    4. Again, I express my gratitude to you for your outstanding performance
of assigned duties and your dedication to your work and the U.S. ARMY.
